what happens in the wood...stays in the woods, for all of our sakes

Well, my handy husband and apprentice son, seem to have a distorted sense of humor and priorities. Here is my to do list of stuff for my husband around the house:

Help finish painting the house

please remove the "hanging bulb" in my bedroom and put up a fixture

remove the old track lighting in the kitchen hanging from the purlins. It was unhooked 2 yrs ago

hook up the dishwasher that has been waiting since 2002

remove the cracked tub and replace it (I'll have to add the bathroom floor in a month to this list)

so, as you can see there are some pretty important tasks on the "around the house list" and some not so important ones. He's a busy man, and works hard during the week, so weekends are the only time to really pare down the list.

But nowhere do I see on the list is a request to spend a day making a portable LOO to relive yourself in the woods. Nowhere, nada. Do my men really need a "ye olde shittre" at hunting camp as bad as I need a dishwasher? Sissy boys, here's to hoping you have the right TP for the Charmin Bears that decide to use your LOO in the woods.

Yet this is how he and junior spent the day 2 Saturdays ago. I found these on my digital camera last week. I had seen the LOO but finding these on my camera was the blog breaking point. That and the threat of "my mom is coming to visit, and expects the dishwasher to be hooked up this time" now lay idol by the wayside, as she had to cancel the trip. Enjoy, and say a small prayer to whatever saint watches over little houses falling into disrepair while your handyman plays.

OH MY GOSH! If you only had a handy electrician around you could get these items done. Maybe we should take up a little collection so you can hire a electrician.
