Hi all, just recovering from a very full day in Bozeman Monday. Will competed for his school in the 10th annual Academic Olympics. His Jr. High sent 3 teams and they competed against over 200 sixth-eighth graders chosen from the 18 schools across Montana. There were 45 teams competing for first place and it was enjoyable to watch all of those kids in their element having fun being challenged. Will was the captain of his schools A team, and they won the first round with a score of 38 to 1. The second round was lost with a score of 10 -11 and the third round was a loss at a score of 3 to 16. His schools C team, fought their way through to the top, to place 3rd in the competition, so the kids all had fun watching their classmates compete, and cheered them on with pride. Will was honored with a 3rd place medal for the 8th grade testing portion, so he was pleased as punch ("grandpa speak" alert) to be recognized. My mother-in-law is up here visiting, so it was nice to have her there to see Will compete and be honored also. So on that note, here is my wonderful brainiac son with his testing medal! Have a great day everyone!
